NFL Football Week 4 2023 Preview

NFL Football Week 4 2023 Preview. Now that the teams have worked out all their butterflies, we can get serious about the games going forward. The 49ers, Eagles, and Dolphins are the only teams left undefeated. They hope to keep their streaks going, while the Vikings, Bears, Panthers, and Broncos hope to end their losing streaks.

Week 4 Schedule and Spreads

Only San Francisco has a double-digit spread against Arizona (-14), but Kansas City is close as 9.5-point favorites against the Jets. The Falcons and Jaguars are taking their game to England, playing in Wembley Stadium for a 9:30 am EST start time.

The Main Event – Dolphins and Bills

On Sunday, one of the last undefeated teams in 2023 is taking on the Buffalo Bills. The Dolphins have the most points scored by far this year (130). Buffalo has the second most at 91. But Miami has also allowed twice as many points (71) as Buffalo has (35). It’s a crucial AFC East divisional matchup between two powerful teams.

Miami is coming off a blowout win over the Broncos 70-20. They won’t be able to do that much damage against the Bills, but they are 4-2 ATS on the road since last year. I’m unsure if Miami can pull off the upset, but they should be able to go over 53.5 points with these two powerful offenses.

NFC South Rivals Battle for Top Spot

The Saints will host the Buccaneers on Sunday. New Orleans blew a 17-0 lead against Green Bay in Week 3 and lost Derek Carr to injury. He sprained his AC joint after being sacked in the third quarter. His recovery is week to week, but the Saints will probably be cautious and have him sit out Week 4. Before his injury, he completed 13 of 18 passing attempts for 103 yards.

After taking over, quarterback Jameis Winston was 10 for 16 for 101 yards. He’ll likely be the starter for Week 4, so keep an eye on the line, which has already gone from New Orleans -4 to -3.

The 49ers Look to Continue Their Winning Streak

There’s not much to say about San Francisco except that Brock Purdy continues to silence his critics, although they have yet to take on a formidable team. Arizona is coming off of a huge upset win against Dallas. They were 12.5-point underdogs and managed to win by 12 points (28-16), but that won’t happen against the 49ers.

The Cardinals have been without quarterback Kyler Murray since he suffered an ACL tear last December. He could miss the entire 2023 season. Joshua Dobbs replaced him, and he’ll hold down that position until Murray gets healthy. They are 3-0 ATS and could easily keep that streak going against the 49ers.

NFC North Rivals Clash in Green Bay

The Detroit Lions visit Green Bay, where the winner takes the lead in the division. Both teams are 2-1, while the Vikings and Bears are still winless. The Packers are 3-0 ATS so far this season, while the Lions are 2-1 ATS. Detroit might be 1.5-point favorites, but Green Bay is home after pulling off their come-from-behind win against New Orleans. I see the Packers going to 4-0 ATS and winning this game.

The Injury-Laden Bengals Visit Tennessee

Cincinnati finally won their first game on Monday against the LA Rams (19-16). Quarterback Joe Burrow was back in the game after leaving in Week 2 when he aggravated a calf injury he sustained in training camp. He’s not 100% or playing to his usual level, but he’s on his way back.

Tennessee only managed a field goal in their loss to the Browns in Week 3. The line opened with the Bengals being 4.5-point favorites. That’s dropped to -2 for Cincinnati. Unless there is more bad news on injuries for the Bengals, they should be able to win the game and cover the spread.
