Their current name came about in 1963. They won the Super Bowl once in 1968 but have not returned to that matchup since.
Buffalo Bills – play in Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, NY. Founded in 1960 in the AFL, they joined the NFL in 1970 following the merger. Their name comes from a Buffalo team that was part of the All-America Football Conference (AAFC), which got its name from the western frontiersman Buffalo Bill. They are the only NFL team that actually plays in New York State. They have made it to the Super Bowl four times but have not won yet.

That same year, the Buffalo Bills joined the NFL, and the Buffalo Braves began playing in the NBA. The Sabres have made it to the Stanley Cup finals twice but have never won a Stanley Cup. The Vancouver Canucks started in the same year as the Sabres and are the oldest active franchises that have never won a Stanley Cup.
