Super Bowl 57 Preview: How Your Players Are Betting the Big Game

Super Bowl 57 Preview. We’re looking at two exceptional teams with a couple of the best quarterbacks on the planet going head-to-head this Sunday. The Super Bowl odds are slightly in Philadelphia’s favor at -1.5. That’s about as tight as you can get. You would think the teams are essentially the same with a race this close. Both have great offense and defense, and both have coaches that can adjust based on the style of the game.

The primary difference between these two teams is that the Kansas City Chiefs focus on passing while the Philadelphia Eagles run the ball a great deal. Hurts has a great throwing arm but can also run the bowl when needed. Kansas City’s quarterback might still be injured, but It’s difficult to plan against Mahomes’ magic.

Both have been very successful with their style, which brought them together for this last big matchup. Which type will your players be betting on to be the Super Bowl winners?

Super Bowl 57 Preview – Current Super Bowl Odds

No blowout is expected, but it should be a high-scoring NFL game. Few teams have this level of scoring power. The Super Bowl betting action is almost even money.

Philadelphia Kansas City

Moneyline Odds -125 +105

Point Spread -1.5 (-110) +1.5 (-110)

Total o51 (-110) u51 (-110)

The Eagles are 10-9 against the spread this season

The Chiefs are 8-11 against the spread this season

Neither team has been particularly successful against the spread. Betting on the game in any way isn’t giving your players any chances of making good money.

The Eagles have been mostly flying under the radar this season as fans were directed toward the Bills, who were supposed to make it to the Super Bowl Championships. Maybe that’s why they feel like the underdogs, even though they have a slight edge in the Super Bowl betting odds.

Even though these two teams represent some of the best defenses in the NFL, they also have prolific offenses. No one is predicting a lower scoring game. The Eagles’ two playoff games were blowouts, but that was against the New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers.

Team Stats

Even the main overall stats of each team are close.

There might be better ways to plan their sports betting. These two teams haven’t met each other since Week 4 of the 2021 season. It was a high-scoring game where the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 42-30.

A better way to measure which team has the best chance is to look at their style of play and how well they do against their opponent’s style. For example:

The Chiefs have difficulty defending against Philadelphia’s style of offense. Maybe that’s why the Eagles use it. It’s difficult for most teams to defend against. They run most of their offense in shotgun. Their 89% shotgun rate was the second-highest in the league this season. The Chiefs rank 29th in the league when playing against the shotgun.

On defense, the Eagles have the most sacks this season with 78 (including the postseason), which is the third most in NFL history behind the 1984 Bears (82), and the 1985 Bears (80). If Mahomes is not as mobile and allusive because of his recent injury, the Eagles’ defense may be able to get to him.

But the Chiefs are no slouches when it comes to sacks. They had the second most in the league with 55 during the regular season. And the Eagles gave up 44 sacks, while Mahomes was only sacked 26 times. The number of sacks by each team might be this game’s key stat and props bet. Maybe you could post some bonus bets like, will Tom Brady’s Retirement stick? Or better yet, which team is a good fit for him – the San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins, or maybe even the Green Bay Packers?
