Are the Lions Still Roaring?

After defeating the Buccaneers 20-6 last weekend, the Lions are tied for the best record in the NFL. They look unstoppable except for the injuries that are piling up. They’ve lost three running backs and must resort to Craig Reynolds, who scored his first career touchdown on Oct. 8, 2023, against the Panthers – after five years in the NFL.

They could focus on their passing game, but the Ravens have one of the best pass defenses in the NFL. Baltimore’s defense has the most sacks and allowed the fewest passing touchdowns in the league.

Detroit has a top-10 defense that can frustrate Lamar Jackson, but they might have difficulty covering Mark Andrews. They are 3-0 on the road and 5-1 ATS.

These teams are evenly matched, but unless Detroit has a surprise solution to their running back problem, they won’t be able to win this one. Baltimore can win and cover.

Eagles Plan to Regroup After Major Upset

Two of the league’s top offenses will clash on Sunday Night Football. The Eagles offense was stifled by the Jets last week as they lost 14-20. Can they bounce back against the Dolphins, who average the most points (37.2) and yards (498.7) per game in the NFL?

Miami also averages 181.8 rushing yards per game, which is the No. 1 position. Philadelphia is No.2 with 164.0 rushing ypg. In a duel of offenses, the Dolphins stand out, while the Eagles’ offense has taken their foot off the gas. If Philadelphia hopes to win, their defense must dominate.

Tagovailoa was sacked four times in Miami’s only loss. That’s where the Eagles have to fly. If they don’t pressure Tagovailoa, they won’t be able to contain him and win. This game could be a wild one, going either way, so keep your limits in.

Jaguars Are Favorites Against the Saints

The Jacksonville Jaguars show that they can win in the US just as well as in the UK. They beat the Colts for the second time this season and plan to continue their win streak against the Saints. Jacksonville’s keys to success have been their defense and running game.

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence was sacked in the fourth quarter against the Colts and left the game with a possible knee injury. It doesn’t appear to be a major injury, but he is listed as day-to-day. Considering that their game against the Saints is on Thursday, it’s quite possible Lawrence won’t be playing. Monitor his status, as that will change the odds. Keep limits in to be sure.

The Chiefs Adjust as Needed

When you think of Kansas City, at the top of the list are Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and big passing plays. But when that doesn’t work, the Chiefs simply change tactics. They might not look like the dominant offense of last season, but they keep winning.

The Chargers have looked good but can’t seem to get the wins. They are 6-2 ATS when on the road as underdogs under head coach Brandon Staley. That’s hard to believe with the number of disappointments they’ve given their fans this season. If they want to get their fanbase back on the Chargers bandwagon, Justin Hebert will have to outshine Mahomes, but I don’t see it happening.
