Green Bay is the New Darling – Packers at Giants

Even though Brock Purdy of San Francisco powered the 49ers past Philadelphia, Jordan Love is the center of attention this week. He has led the Packers on a three-game winning streak against the Chargers, Lions, and Chiefs with his impressive stats. He has completed almost 70% of his passes in the last three games, averaging 285.7 yards per game, with eight touchdowns and no turnovers. The Packers had three-plus sacks in each of their last two games, which is a first for them this season, and should be able to keep that streak alive against the Giants.

Green Bay is 6-6 SU and 7-5 ATS but is 3-0 SU and ATS in the last three games, beating the Chiefs 27-19 last week as 6-point underdogs.

The Giants are coming off a bye with a two-game winning streak. Tommy DeVito will be the starting quarterback even as Tyrod Taylor returns to practice this week. They’re still sorting out their quarterback problems; hopefully, the extra time off will help. But don’t expect them to win or cover.

Houston’s Remaining Schedule Helps Their Playoff Drive – Texans at Jets

C.J. Stroud continues to improve and is currently well ahead of all other competitors for the offensive rookie of the year. His odds are -9000, while the next three are at +3000.

The Texans beat a hot Broncos team, ending their five-game winning streak. Houston won four of their last five games, scoring at least 21 points in those five games. They are 6-6 ATS and are 1-4 ATS as favorites.

The Jets have lost five straight and have only scored an average of 9.7 points in the six games since their bye. Their quarterback situation continues to deteriorate as it doesn’t look like Aaron Rodgers will return this season as the Jets aren’t contending. Tim Boyle took over for Zack Wilson, who was then replaced by Trevor Siemian, who looked just as bad. The Jets released Boyle and have signed veteran quarterback Brett Rypien off of Seattle’s practice squad.

Unless Rypien surprises everyone, expect the Texans to win and cover.

Can the Jaguars Lead the Division Without Lawrence? – Jaguars at Browns

Jacksonville leads the AFC South, but two teams are only one win behind: Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans. They lost their last game against the Bengals, 34-31, with the defense allowing Cincinnati’s backup quarterback, Jake Browning, to complete 86% of his passes (32 of 37) for a total of almost 500 yards of offense.

Jacksonville’s quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, suffered a high ankle sprain in the fourth quarter, and wide receiver Christian Kirk left the game with a core muscle injury. Both will miss the next game, at least.

Cleveland also lost last weekend. Backup quarterback Joe Flacco played as Dorian Thompson-Robinson is still in concussion protocol. He did well in their loss, throwing for 254 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. He is their third quarterback in the last three weeks. Watch the betting lines as they’ll shift with the news of Lawrence’s injury.

Cincinnati’s Jake Browning is Still Proving Himself – Colts at Bengals

The Titans were previously unbeaten at home before the Colts won in overtime 31-28 last weekend. Indianapolis has won four games in a row and visits Cincinnati this weekend to triumph over the struggling Bengals. The Colts are 4-0 SU and ATS in their last four games, thanks to the incredible coaching of Shane Steichen and Gardner Minshew’s deep passing plays.

Cincinnati won last weekend and might be able to hold their ground against the Colts even with a backup quarterback. Jake Browning has done remarkably well for only having two NFL starts. But he is relatively unproven and will make the difference in whether they win or lose. Keep your limits in.
