1-Michigan Wolverines -1.5 vs 4-Alabama Crimson Tide

Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan Wolverines had a fantastic season, stepping up again versus the rival Penn State Nittany Lions and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

For the third season in a row, Michigan has secured a spot in the College Football Playoff. The Wolverines boast one of the best defenses in the nation along with a solid offense.

Quarterback J.J. McCarthy has turned into one of the nation’s bet signal-callers. Blake Corum is as good as it gets at the running back position and the offensive line is stellar. The defense can lock down on any offense while Harbaugh and his staff are hungry after the flub against TCU at the 2023 CFP Playoffs.

Some say Alabama shouldn’t be in the playoff. But the Crimson Tide beat the best team in the nation, 1-Georgia, in the SEC Championship. Not only did the Tide beat Georgia, but Bama also had one of the most difficult schedules in the nation, Nick Saban’s team navigated the fifth toughest schedule in the country, to stamp their ticket to the College Football Playoff.

Alabama’s defense has gotten better with every game. Quarterback Jalen Milroe has become one of the top qual-threat quarterbacks in the nation.

What’s the Player Buzz?

Professional college football betting fans aren’t saying it publicly, but the money is going to the Crimson Tide. Alabama opened a +2 against the spread underdog.

The Crimson Tide are now a +1.5 dog, and the pros are leaning towards going with Saban and his bunch. The reason is due to past history.

Although Michigan is a solid team, Harbaugh tends to make bad calls in the College Football Playoff. The loss to the TCU Horned Frogs last season was downright pathetic considering Michigan was a massive favorite.

From the Bookie Software Agent’s Perspective

Betting program agents don’t care much about which team coves as long as their online sportsbook software provider has their backs. In this case, PayPerHead for sure will have their backs.

The layoff account on the Bama line is absolutely necessary. The odds are at +105 for Alabama to beat Michigan. Considering Harbaugh’s track record at the College Football Playoff, setting max limits on Bama to win straight up is the move most pay per head sportsbook agents have made.

Do this as soon as possible. Also make sure to set max betting limits on Saban’s bunch to win the College Football Playoff.

2-Washington Huskies vs 3-Texas Longhorns -4

Texas’s only loss came in one of the most heated rivalries in the history of college football, the Red River Rivalry against Oklahoma. Not only that, but Texas had a shot to keep Dillon Grabriel and the Sooners from scoring the goa head touchdown late in the game.

However, Washington is undefeated and had to beat Oregon twice this season. The Huskies also played in what many feel is the top conference in college football in 2023, the Pac-12.

Both teams boast excellent offenses. The difference in the line, the reason Texas is the favorite might be because Washington’s D tends to give up more points than the Horns’s.

Ah, but that could also be due to the lack of true competition that the Big 12 displayed this season.

What’s the Player Buzz?

Players like the Longhorns, which have gone from -3.5 to -4. Pro PPH sportsbook handicappers have yet to decide which team they are going to back, though.

Once the pros start playing this one, it’s likely they take the 4 points on Michael Penix Jr., Rome Odunze, and the rest of the Washington Huskies. Don’t be surprised if once the pros get involved, money starts to flow to Washington.

From the Bookie Software Agent’s Perspective

If you’re a bookie, you want to set max limits on the Huskies to win straight up. The +150 odds will make Washington attractive to more than one of your players.

In addition, it’s important to set max limits on Washington to cover the college football spread line. Washington, for sure, can upset a Texas team that got a pass in their conference championship after Oklahoma failed to stamp their ticket.
