2022-2023 College Football Preview

On August 27, the 2022-2023 Division 1 College Football Season kicks off, which means sportsbook software agents like you had better ready your bookie websites for an influx of action. Check out NCAAF Regular Season dates, current NCAAF odds to win the National Championship, and our expert bookie tips.

Most experts believe the upcoming college football season will end like the 2021 season ended, with Georgia and Alabama facing off for the National Championship. Heading into July, Alabama is the favorite to win the title.

Georgia is the second choice. But although so-called experts think another all-SEC title game is in the cards, the Bulldogs and the Crimson Tide are different this season than last.

Also, former Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley is now the HC at USC, Notre Dame, and LSU have new head coaches, and Texas A&M landed the nation’s top recruiting class.

See below for a 2022-2023 NCAAF schedule, National Championship odds for the top contenders and underdogs, and bookmaking predictions from a pay per head sportsbook company’s point-of-view.

We know it’s early, but if we wait until July, it may be too late to prevent some players from taking advantage. Keep reading and prepare your bookie website for college football betting success.

  • Georgia Bulldogs +275
  • Ohio State Buckeyes +450
  • Clemson Tigers +1200
  • USC Trojans +2000

  • Oklahoma Sooners +3500
  • Notre Dame Fighting Irish +4000
  • Michigan Wolverines +5000

The team that Will Attract the Most Action – Alabama

Georgia played great in the National Championship. No wonder so many believe UGA has a chance to beat Alabama and repeat as NCAAF titlists.

But the Crimson Tide had to battle their SEC rivals without their top two wide receivers. John Metchie III got hurt in the College Football Playoff semifinal win against Cincinnati.

Jameson Williams got hurt early in the National Championship. If Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young had his full arsenal, who knows?

The Tide might have rolled over the Dawgs. So although Bama must replace starters along the offensive line, both Metchie III and Williams, and key players on the defensive side, the Tide will roll to more action than Georgia.

Players will call bookie agents to back Alabama to win the 2023 title. Set max limits before it’s too late.

2022-2023 College Football PreviewPPH Sportsbook Overlay Squad – USC

Lincoln Riley didn’t just become the USC Trojans’ head football coach. Riley also convinced quarterback Caleb Miller, Lincoln recruited Caleb to Oklahoma, to transfer to SoCal.

Riley then talked last year’s Biletnikoff Award winner for the nation’s best wide receiver to transfer from Pitt to play in Los Angeles. Lincoln recruited players from Alabama, Auburn, and more from Oklahoma, ASU, and other schools to throw down stakes in La La Land.

No doubt, National Championship future bettors have noticed. At +2000, USC qualifies as an overlay. Make sure to set max betting limits on the Trojans to win the trophy.

Online Bookie Software Underlay Teams – Georgia & Clemson

Six starters from UGA’s championship defense went in the first round of this past April’s NFL Draft. Overall, the Bulldogs lost eight starters from their defense.

Georgia also lost running back James Cook and their top wide receiver, George Pickens. Another reason the Dawgs are an underlay at their odds? Alabama dusted Georgia in the SEC Championship, and, like what’s above, the Bulldogs got to play against a Bama team missing their top two wide receivers.

The other underlay in the top ten offering low odds is 12-to-1 Clemson. The Tigers should have an excellent defense.

But the offensive line could struggle. Also, NC State should be much better this season, Pitt will be a decent team, and Miami is an under-the-radar conference contender.

Also, starting quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei has yet to prove he can succeed at this level. Clemson could struggle to win the ACC, making them a serious underlay at the odds.

Free Betting Software Underdog Play – Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Notre Dame shouldn’t win the National Championship. The Irish shouldn’t even touch the College Football Playoff, but strange things have happened in the NCAAF before.

Oddsmaking experts have set a 40-to-1 line on the Fighting Irish to win the championship. You could be sorry if you don’t set max limits on Notre Dame.

The reason? Check out Notre Dame’s schedule.

  • September 3 at Ohio State
  • September 10 vs. Marshall
  • September 17 vs. California
  • September 24 at North Carolina
  • October 8 vs. BYU
  • October 15 vs. Stanford
  • October 22 vs. UNLV
  • October 29 at Syracuse
  • November 5 vs. Clemson
  • November 12 vs. Navy
  • November 19 vs. Boston College
  • November 26 at USC

Games versus Clemson, Ohio State, and USC could be top ten versus top ten battles. If Notre Dame loses a single game this season, and the loss happens to one of those three rivals, the Fighting Irish will play their way into the CFP.

Once in the College Football Playoff, anything can happen. Set max limits on Notre Dame to win the championship for sure.
