Super Bowl 56 Odds – Favorites to Underdogs
Check out consensus odds to win Super Bowl 56. All odds on remaining Super Bowl contenders as of Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
Green Bay Packers +350
After the first week, it didn’t look like GB was on their way to the 1-seed. The New Orleans Saints blasted Green Bay 38-3. After the loss, many believed GB was an underdog to make the NFL Playoffs. But the Green Bay Packers are just one of two teams, the Tennessee Titans are the other, that didn’t have to play during Super Wild Card Weekend. Green Bay secured home field advantage throughout, which is the main reason they’re Super Bowl favorites to win the Super Bowl trophy. The Packers also have one of the best quarterbacks in the league’s history on their side. Few signal-callers have dominated as thoroughly during his career as 3-time MVP Aaron Rodgers. But although the Packers offer the lowest Super Bowl 56 odds, it’s difficult to consider them the top Super Bowl contender. Aaron Rodgers is one of the remaining key players in the postseason, but the Lombardi Trophy odds to win make GB an underlay. The Packers’ defense yielded 30 points or more in three of Green Bay’s final five games. The Detroit Lions scored 37 against the Pack in Week 18. Even Chicago dropped 30, and the Baltimore Ravens scored 30 with Lamar Jackson on the bench. So even though Aaron Rodgers plays for the Packers, it will be tough for Green Bay’s defense to hold down the San Francisco 49ers or the Los Angeles Rams.In a game against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay’s offense should prevail over the Green Bay Packers’ defense. The Bucs should win if Rodgers suffers from the foot injury that almost derailed his season. Pay per head agents should consider allowing action on the Packers at +350 Super Bowl odds to ride. The NFC’s 1-seed has a great offense, but the defense may not be good enough for a Super Bowl 56 win.
Kansas City Chiefs +400
At the start of the season, one team attracted the most Super Bowl betting action. The AFC West champion Kansas City Chiefs started this season the Super Bowl 56 favorite.Although KC isn’t the chalk to win the Super Bowl, they are the AFC’s Super Bowl futures favorite. Kansas City obliterated the Pittsburgh Steelers in their wild card weekend victory.Patrick Mahomes had no trouble finding Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce. But the real reason sports bettors are all over the Chiefs after their first round playoff victory is that Mahomes found a new target in running back Jerrick McKinnon.McKinnon was Mahomes’ favorite target versus the Steelers. The former Minnesota Vikings had a big game. But on Sunday night football, Mahomes, McKinnon, and their mates face a team that had their number in the regular season. The Chiefs lost to the Buffalo Bills, which is one of the reasons that at +400 Super Bowl odds, the Chiefs are an underlay to win the NFL Championship game.
Buffalo Bills +525
The Buffalo Bills lost last year’s AFC Championship game to the Kansas City Chiefs. Heading into the divisional round, Buffalo, and their fans, are bullish on the Bills’ chances. This season, quarterback Josh Allen is looking for his first of what Buffalo fans hope is many Super Bowls. Allen is not only one of the best quarterbacks in the league, he’s also one of the NFL’s top running backs.Allen averages 6.3 yards per carry, which is just .5 less than he averages with every completion. Based on the two most important metrics, yards allowed per game and points allowed each game, Buffalo’s defense is the best in the National Football League. We must only look at how Allen dominated the rival New England Patriots twice to realize how dominant the quarterback is. The Bills have a better chance of making Super Bowl 56 than their odds. After January 23, only one team will stand in the way of the Bills from making their fifth Super Bowl.Buffalo lost in their first four trips. There’s a good chance they take the Lombardi Trophy in their fifth.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +600
Shortly before the season started, Las Vegas oddsmaking experts pegged the Buccaneers the Super Bowl favorite. Heading into the second round, Tampa Bay looks like a solid choice to reach its second straight NFL Championship. The defending Super Bowl champions boast one of the best defenses in the league. Tom Brady, no doubt, is the greatest quarterback to ever step onto a football field.A knock against Tom Brady and the Bucs is that although they looked great in their victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, Philly was a paper tiger. The Eagles had beaten the New York Jets once and the New York Giants twice on their way to grabbing a playoff spot. Also, Brady had a terrible time throwing the football in a couple of losses to the New Orleans Saints.Brady is motivated to prove he can lead the Buccaneers to multiple Super Bowl wins the same way he led the New England Patriots to numerous big game victories. Not only that, but the Super Bowl odds from a players’ perspective are more than fair.PPH sports agents had better set max limits on Brady and the Bucs to win Super Bowl 56. Terrific Tom is Mr. Super Bowl. So an eighth ring is not out of the question.
Los Angeles Rams +800
In the first ever Monday night wild card game, the Rams beat the Arizona Cardinals 34-11. Things get much more challenging in the Divisional Round because the Los Angeles Rams must travel to Raymond James Stadium to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There’s a chasm between taking on Kyler Murray and the Cardinals at Sofi Stadium and taking on Tom Brady on the road. The former is a young player who has yet to get his feet underneath. The other has seven Super Bowl rings. Not only that, but the Cardinals had lost to the Seattle Seahawks in NFL Week 18. The Rams swept the Seattle Seahawks this season. If the Rams make the Super Bowl, it will be a home game at SoFi Stadium, but the Super Bowl odds make the Rams an underlay. Los Angeles’ chances of winning the Super Bowl are much more significant than +800. Unless you accept a ton of action, don’t worry so much about laying off the Rams’ odds to win the Super Bowl.
Tennessee Titans +900
AFC South champ Tennessee swept the Indianapolis Colts this season. Ryan Tannehill, Derrick Henry, and the rest also beat the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills, which means the Titans are for real. The Super Bowl odds, though, make the Titans a dark horse. Tennessee got some great news on January 19.Running back Derrick Henry practiced with contact and had no issues. Henry gives the Titans a considerable boost in their game versus the Cincinnati Bengals on January 22.
San Francisco 49ers +1000
Should San Francisco upset the Green Bay Packers, players will call bookie agents looking to back the 49ers to win Super Bowl 56. The other reason?
The Super Bowl odds on the Niners make them an overlay. San Francisco came oh so close to becoming Super Bowl winners in 2020. San Francisco upset the Dallas Cowboys in their wild card weekend game. Not only that, but Nick Bosa is on par with Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end T.J. Watt. Bosa, though, suffered a concussion against the Dallas Cowboys and left the game early. If Bosa doesn’t play, the San Francisco 49ers will have difficulty stopping Rodgers and GB’s offense. In addition to Bosa’s injury, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo sprained his shoulder in the victory over the Cowboys. Also, let’s not kid ourselves. If not for a boneheaded play to end the game, the Dallas Cowboys would be heading to Lambeau instead of the 49ers. Super Bowl bettors didn’t know about Jimmy G.’s injury, though. Levi’s Stadium is one of the possible future Super Bowl locations. But the Niners are motivated right now to win the Super Bowl. Price per head agents must take the San Francisco 49ers seriously. Set max betting limits if you’re worried.
Cincinnati Bengals +1600
Few teams in the AFC boast a quarterback on Joe Burrow’s level. Only Kansas City, the Baltimore Ravens, and the Buffalo Bills can say they have a signal-caller as good as Burrow. Joe Cool is more Tom Brady than Brett Favre. He plays like a QB that has already won multiple Super Bowls. Burrow didn’t light up the Las Vegas Raiders. But that’s okay because Joe led the Bengals to wins over the Pittsburgh Steelers. It doesn’t seem fair that Burrow will have to be much better in Cincy’s tough matchup against the Titans in the second round. Cincinnati is a long shot to win the AFC Championship. The Bengals must only get by the Titans, though, for their Super Bowl odds dive.
Super Bowl 56 odds management
Earlier this season, an NFL Super Bowl 56 odds future bettor dumped $20,000 on the New England Patriots. Although the bet turned out to be less than optimal, backing the Pats made sense. The New England Patriots were in the midst of a long winning streak, rookie quarterback Mac Jones looked like the next great Pats quarterback, and Bill Belichick’s defense was playing like Tampa Bay’s, the reigning champions. The Patriots did secure a postseason berth. But the New England Patriots failed to do more than make the Bills look good in their lone NFL Playoffs game.Still, even though the $20,000 bettor failed to score a huge payday, no bookmaker wants to deal with the likelihood of a massive payout.Instead of worrying, use your layoff account on every large Super Bowl bet. Some of your players will be on the search for the best odds. It’s okay to give out the best odds because you can off-load risk via your layoff account.
