Welcome to the 69th season of Europe’s premier club football tournament. The Champions League Final 2024 is set for Saturday, June 1st, at 3:00 pm EST. For the first time since 2013, it will be played at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
Champions League Odds Over the Season
Last year, Manchester City won the Champions League title. It was their first time getting the win. They entered this year’s tournament as the clear favorite and stayed at the top until they came up against the 2022 winners, Real Madrid, in the quarterfinals.
The semi-finalists were:
Real Madrid vs. Bayern Munich
Borussia Dortmund vs. PSG
The finalists are Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid. Dortmund has been the underdog throughout the tournament and remains so in the Final against Real Madrid.
The Champions League Tournament has not disappointed, bringing us two unlikely combatants. Below are the odds for the top six teams from June 11, last year, to May 8th this year. Real Madrid is now the team of choice for European football enthusiasts. Borussia Dortmund always had much longer odds than Real Madrid, but Dortmund has pulled off two upsets to get to the Final, and Real Madrid fans aren’t as confident as they might be in the final match. Keep your limits in.

Real Madrid
After a draw in Munich, 2-2, Los Blancos came from behind in the second leg to beat Bayern Munich 2-1, gaining an aggregate of 4-3 to eliminate Bayern Munich in the semi-finals. The 34-year-old Joselu scored in the 88th and 91st minutes to secure Real Madrid’s invitation to the Final.
This will be Real Madrid’s 18th European Cup final appearance, their second in three years. They will attempt their 15th title, a record well ahead of second-place AC Milan, with seven wins. Los Blancos have a history of winning whenever they make it to the Final, which will make them almost impossible to beat. However, Borussia Dortmund has already beaten the odds twice to make it this far.
Borussia Dortmund
The German team wasn’t given much chance to get to the Final this year because they were put in the most challenging group. But they did finish at the top of the group, three points above Paris Saint-Germain.
They were in the quarter-finals for only the second time in seven years. Luckily for them, top teams were paired against each other, eliminating half of them. Favorites Manchester City (+175) were matched with Real Madrid (+650), and Arsenal (+500) were pitted against Bayern Munich (+700). Dortmund lost 2-1 to Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the quarter-finals but won 4-2 in the second for an aggregate win of 5-4.
They advanced to the semi-finals for the fourth time in team history but weren’t given any hope of defeating Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappe. They beat PSG 1-0 at home and then surprised them in Paris by beating them 1-0, winning 2-0 on aggregate.
The final at Wimbledon Stadium will be Marco Reus’s last game for Dortmund. If his team can overcome the favored Spanish club, he could end his 12-year career with the German side on a high note.
