Which Four NFL Teams Will Make the Conference Championships in 2025?

Witness the Road to Glory: NFL Conference Championships 2025

The big question for this coming season is whether the Kansas City Chiefs can do what no other football team has done: win a third consecutive NFL Championship. But before we get too far ahead of ourselves, we thought we’d look at the Conference Championships. Who are the top 10 teams with the best chances to make it to the semi-finals of the 2024-2025 NFL playoffs?

Here are the ones we think have a shot at making it to the NFL Conference Championships 2025 and their odds of making the playoffs and winning the Super Bowl two games later. Who do you think has the best shot?

NFC Teams

We think it will come down to San Francisco and Detroit in the NFC, but a few other teams could surprise us.

San Francisco 49ers

It’s safe to say now that Brock Purdy was not a fluke. He’s the real deal as a top quarterback leading a solid offense with stars such as running back Christian McCaffrey, wide receiver Deebo Samuel, and tight end George Kittle.

Their defense is one of the best in the league, making this team tough to beat. What more needs to be said?

Detroit Lions

The Lions have almost the entire core of their team returning this season, especially their offense. This is a massive plus for a group that was gelling along with its fan base last season. Jared Goff has proven himself a legitimate NFL quarterback and will continue his explosive attack. They have a lot of cap space to make improvements to their lineup. If they can toughen up the defensive line and update their secondary, their defense can catch up to their offense and become a force to win the division and the conference, and more.

Honorable Mentions

Atlanta Falcons

With Kirk Cousins picked as the starting quarterback, wide receiver Drake London, tight end Kyle Pitts, and running back Bijan Robinson, this offense can take off in 2024. As long as the defense can get in shape, the Flacons can at least win the NFC South.

Dallas Cowboys

Dak Prescott is a top NFL quarterback who will once again try to keep his team winning until the end of the season. The Cowboys have a deep roster, including Micah Parsons, who was a Defensive Player of the Year finalist.

Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Hurts might be a bit of a mystery coming into this season, but the Eagles signing running back Saquon Barkley to a three-year deal is a definite plus. The roster is still deep, but the coaching staff is in disarray after head coach Nick Sirianni fired defensive coordinator Sean Desai, Matt Patricia (who took over for Desai), and offensive coordinator Brian Johnson at the end of the season.

AFC Teams

With Mahomes and coach Reid at the helm, the Chiefs seem unstoppable again this year to make it to the conference championships. But will their opponent be the Ravens?

Kansas City Chiefs

This team has won the AFC West every year since 2016. And after winning the Super Bowl last season, they held onto most of their top talent, except for cornerback L’Jarius Sneed. They still have one of the top teams and are expected to make the conference game and win the Super Bowl. Patrick Mahomes continues to show why he’s considered the best quarterback in the league.

Baltimore Ravens

With a top-ten defense in seven of the last eight seasons and a healthy Lamar Jackson, this team always has the potential to go deep into the playoffs. Unfortunately, they couldn’t get past Kansas City last season. But Jackson’s ground game improves with the addition of running back Derrick Henry.

Honorable Mentions

Houston Texans

C.J. Stroud wowed them in his rookie season and will again start for the Texans. He’s joined by defensive end Danielle Hunter, running back Joe Mixon, and wide receiver Stefon Diggs to bump this team up in status this season. How far can they go?

Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins lost a lot of expensive talent in the offseason, but they still retain one of the best offenses. Defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver, who moved from Baltimore, must beef up the defense to be on par with the offense.

New York Jets

Expect the defense to have a strong season. If Aaron Rodgers can stay healthy and have at least an average season, this team might get past some of the expected teams in the playoffs. We’ll watch the Jets to ensure that Rodgers gets past the first game without an injury.
