New York Giants Recent Scores: Leaving the Basement
After losing the first preseason game to the Vikings, the Giants bounced back and beat Miami and the New York Jets.
In Week 1 of the regular season, the Giants beat the Cowboys 28-20. It was a monumental win as the Giants converted nine of eleven third downs, Jaxson Dart completed 20 of 23 for three touchdowns, and TE Isaiah Likely caught all eight passes for 78 yards and two scores.
The Giants hired John Harbaugh as head coach to get them back to the postseason. Harbaugh spent 18 seasons with the Ravens and plans to improve the Giants’ 4-13 record in 2025. They haven’t made the playoffs in three seasons, and it’s been 14 years since they last won the NFC East title. His first goal is to get more than seven wins, something they haven’t done in three seasons.
Los Angeles Rams Recent Scores: Leaving Jet Lag Behind
The Rams won all three preseason games, but the 49ers brought them down to earth in Week 1 of the regular season, scoring only 7 points against San Francisco’s 27. While the 49ers scored in each quarter, Los Angeles only scored in the second. Matthew Stafford threw for 155 without a touchdown and one interception.
I guess flying all the way to Australia one day before the game wasn’t a good strategy after all.
I’m sure the Rams learned from that mistake and are getting as much rest as possible. Having this game on Monday will help with that, but losing DE Myles Garret to a knee injury will reduce the consistent pressure they can put on Giants’ QB Jaxson Dart.

The Rams have played against the Giants 47 times, starting in 1938, with the Rams leading the series 30-17-0. Only two of those were playoff games:

Giants vs Rams Prediction: Won’t Cover
Los Angeles will be motivated to meet expectations after their lopsided loss in Melbourne and are expected to win at home as 7.5-point favorites. They should be able to get the win, but they may not cover, as the Giants won as underdogs in Week 1, and under Harbaugh, the team looks more organized.
Cam Skattebo ran well for New York, and Malik Nabers is possibly returning from last year’s ACL injury, giving Dart another target.
Besides Harbaugh, the Giants made other offseason coaching changes, including Dennard Wilson as defensive coordinator and Matt Nagy as new offensive coordinator. We may need to take in a few more games before we see the Giants’ potential this season.
