Ravens vs Falcons Game Analysis: Quarterback Shuffle
The Baltimore Ravens visit Atlanta to take on the Falcons in Week 5 of the 2026 NFL season. Kickoff is at 5:20 pm ET.
While the Falcons offense is reenergized with one of its main quarterbacks back in the lineup, the Ravens may have to do without theirs.
Backup Tyler Huntley played the second half of the Week 4 game against the Titans, switching to a more conservative Ravens offense. Keep an eye on Lamar Jackson’s injury report. Here at PayPerHead, you’ll find our Ravens vs Falcons prediction and everything you need to know ahead of this game.
Baltimore Ravens Recent Scores: High-Scoring
After a disappointing 2025, the Ravens’ offense exploded in Week 1 against the Colts for a total of 506 yards. The Colts scored on their opening drive, but then the Ravens took control and scored on four of their next five drives to put up 31 points in the first half alone.
They lost that momentum in Week 2, giving the Saints their only win so far this season.
In Week 4, the Ravens jumped to a 17-point lead by halftime. Zay Flowers had six catches for 119 yards and a touchdown. But quarterback Lamar Jackson sustained an ankle injury in the dying seconds of the first half and didn’t return. The Titans attempted a comeback, but Baltimore’s defense held them off long enough to run out the clock.
- Week 1: at Colts 41-23 (win)
- Week 2: vs Saints 17-24 (loss)
- Week 3: at Cowboys 34-31 (win)
- Week 4: vs Titans 24-18 (win)
Atlanta Falcons Recent Scores: Penix Shines
With Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa still out of commission, Cooper Rush started in Weeks 1 & 2. He couldn’t score against the Panthers, who had their fourth consecutive win against the Falcons. Panthers defensive tackle Devin Lloyd had nine tackles, a sack, and two interceptions, returning one for a pick-six.
QB Penix returned for Week 3 against the Packers and guided the offense to a total of 498 yards. Running back Bijan Robinson had 213 total yards and two touchdowns. WR Drake London had 9 receptions for 194 yards.
Penix continued to add on the points in Week 4, this time focusing on the ground game against the Saints. They had 207 total rushing yards and five touchdowns. But Penix also completed 15 of 20 passes for 223 yards and a touchdown.
- Week 1: at Steelers 13-20 (loss)
- Week 2: vs Panthers 3-30 (loss)
- Week 3: at Packers 35-14 (win)
- Week 4: at Saints 45-24 (win)
Ravens vs Falcons History: Not Much Contact
These teams are almost strangers, having played each other only seven times since their first meeting in 1999.
The Ravens lead the series 5-2-0, with Baltimore winning the last three clashes. Their last meeting was on December 24, 2022, in Baltimore, with a final score of Falcons 9-17 Ravens.
They have yet to meet in the postseason.
Ravens vs Falcons Prediction: Birds of Prey
Both teams have won their last two games and scored impressively. The Ravens are currently 3.5-point favorites. However, Lamar Jackson may miss this game, which will lessen their chance of winning.
We think the Falcons have the edge even if Jackson is fit to play. Without Penix Jr., Atlanta’s offense was non-functioning. With him, they’re breaking new ground.
Our prediction goes against the experts, as we think the Falcons are on a roll with Penix Jr. at the helm. He’s racking up the points on offense, even when switching from an air assault to a ground game.
And their defense is also pulling its weight. We predict Atlanta will win 38-26. Follow us on social media to stay tuned this NFL season.
