Week 4 – Monday Night Football will feature the Atlanta Falcons visiting New Orleans to take on the Saints on October 5 at 7:15 pm ET.

Both teams are in the NFC South Division and are 1-2, tied with the Panthers. The Buccaneers sit at the bottom at 0-3. This divisional game will at least break up the logjam. Here at PayPerHead, you’ll find our Falcons vs Saints prediction and everything you need to know ahead of this game.

Atlanta Falcons Recent Scores: Rush Unremarkable

The Falcons had a rough start to the season, losing their first two games.

Week 1 was promising, as the Falcons kept it close until T.J. Watt, the Steelers linebacker, intercepted a Cooper Rush throw and returned it for a touchdown. Those seven points were the spread.

In Week 2, Cooper Rush continued to fill in for Michael Penix Jr. (knee) and Tua Tagovailoa (oblique). He completed 10 of 17 passes for 86 yards with two interceptions and lost a fumble.

Week 3 saw the return of Penix, who completed 18 of 25 passes for 256 yards, 1 touchdown and an interception. Bijan Robinson set his season high with 194 rushing yards.

Week 1: at Steelers 13-20 (loss)

Week 2: vs Panthers 3-34 (loss)

Week 3: at Packers 35-14 (win)

New Orleans Saints Recent Scores: Shough-ing Character

The Saints rallied from a 21-point deficit to force overtime in Week 1. However, the Lions won on their final play as the Saints missed a 2-point conversion attempt. New Orleans’ quarterback Tyler Shough struggled with interceptions and a lost fumble early in the game, but reversed that with back-to-back scoring drives.

The Saints had a slow start in Game 2 against the Ravens, but eventually made key plays to secure the win, including scoring on a fourth-and-goal and safety Juian Blackmon intercepting the ball for the win.

The Raiders overcame an 11-point deficit to beat the Saints in Week 3. That gave the Raiders a 3-0 record, tying their 2025 win total.

Week 1: at Lions 30-31 (loss)

Week 2: at Ravens 24-17 (win)

Week 3: vs Raiders 27-35 (loss)

Falcons vs Saints History: Close Competitors

The Falcons joined the league in 1966. The Saints entered a year later as an expansion team (1967), and their rivalry began. They’ve played each other 114 times in total, with the Falcons leading the series 58-56. You can’t get much closer than that.

The teams have met only once in the postseason, with the Falcons winning the 1991 NFC Wild Card Game.

Their last game was on January 4, 2026, with Atlanta hosting and winning a close one, 19-17.

Falcons vs Saints Prediction: Underdog Win

The Falcons get a rare extended break after playing on Thursday in Week 3 and can rest until Monday. With Penix back in the lineup, the Falcons are a real threat again, as shown in their Week 3 win against Green Bay. And Bijan Robinson has consistently produced on the ground, which should continue in Week 4 and beyond.

The Saints may have lost against the Raiders in Week 3, but quarterback Tyler Shough has thrown for 917 yards and eight touchdowns through three games, as they average 27 points per game.

The Saints are 2.5-point home favorites, with a total of 48.5 points. The underdogs could easily take this one.

Our Falcons vs Saints prediction is a high-scoring, one-goal game. We think the visiting team will get the win, as they are hungry to prove their capabilities after being held back for two games by a backup QB. Falcons to win it 26-23. Follow us on social media to stay tuned this NFL season.
