Thunder vs Knicks Prediction and Game Analysis for Tonight Game

Two Titans: Thunder vs Knicks Game Analysis

We’re going to Madison Square Garden on March 4, 2026, to watch two heavyweight teams battle it out. The Knicks are tough to beat at home with a 23-8 record. However, the Thunder hold a 23-8 away record. That’s just the start of their similarities. Let’s see which team has a better chance to take the win in this Thunder vs Knicks prediction at PayPerHead.

The Knicks only have one confirmed injury. Miles McBride is out, and Mitchell Robinson is doubtful, but Karl-Anthony Towns is expected to play.

The Thunder aren’t as healthy. Jalen Williams is out, as is Thomas Sorber. Isaiah Hartenstein is questionable, but if he’s out, Jaylin Williams can take his place. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has abdominal strain management but is expected to play. Shai could be the deciding factor. If he’s not playing, the Knicks have a chance.

Cruising: Oklahoma City Thunder Recent Scores

The reigning champions have continued to play at a high level throughout the season, winning 8 of their last 10 games and are currently on a three-game winning streak. Two of those losses make sense, against the Eastern Conference-leading Pistons and third-place Rockets. But then they go and fumble against the 11th-place Bucks. What happened there? The Bucks slowed down in the second half, and the Thunder followed suit.

Their roughest patch was a two-game losing streak in early February against the Spurs and Rockets, unless you count that glitch in the matrix when they lost to the last-place Pacers on January 23rd.

Streak-Breakers: New York Knicks Recent Scores

The Knicks are also on a three-game winning streak, but have only won 7 of their last 10 games. They’ve also lost to the Pacers recently, showing that any team can beat any team in the NBA. Their most recent loss was to the Cavaliers, who are just one point behind them in the standings. But they’ve also shown their tenacity by recently beating teams like the Raptors, the Spurs, and the Rockets. They even broke the Spurs’ 11-game winning streak, destroying them 114-89.

Lopsided: Thunder vs Knicks History

This will be the first of two matchups this season for these two teams. In the last four meetings, OKC has come away with the win. The last time they met was on January 10, 2025; the Thunder won in a blowout, 126-101. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was a tour de force in that game.

Streak Continues: Oklahoma City vs New York Prediction

The Thunder are road favorites at around -3.5. As mentioned earlier, if Shai plays, he’ll be able to bring home the win. He’s scored at least 20 points in 59 consecutive road games, which is the longest streak in NBA history. He’ll be able to silence the home crowd because you know he’ll drop more than 20.

Both teams are averaging about the same number of points per game: 119, but the Thunder’s ability to generate turnovers and defend in transition is top-notch.

The Knicks’ Jalen Brunson is averaging 26.7 points this season. Along with Mikal Bridges and Karl-Anthony Towns (and the New York fans), they could make this a close game, but I don’t expect them to overcome the Thunder.

Our prediction is that it will be a close, high-scoring game, with OKC ultimately outlasting the Knicks, 118-114. Whatever the result, you know the fans at MSG will walk away the winners, as it’s guaranteed to be a barnburner.
