Celtics vs Suns Prediction: Expert Analysis and Recent Scores

History Repeating Itself? Celtics vs Suns Game Analysis

These teams last met in March 2024 for two games. The Celtics won both meetings, 117-107 in Phoenix and 127-112 in Boston. You might think that Boston has Phoenix’s number, but this is more about Boston’s continued dominance in the NBA. They’ve pulled away from the pack in the Eastern conference to be in sole possession of the number 2 seed, climbing to within 4.5 games of the Cavaliers. Let’s see which team has a better chance to win in this Celtics vs Suns prediction article.

At this point of the season, it looks like Boston will be the favorite in most of their remaining games. In other words, this is Boston’s game to lose.

Wins Keep Coming: Boston Celtics Recent Scores

With a six-game winning streak and nine wins in their last ten games, the Celtics continue their strong, multi-seasonal dominance. Their only loss in March was against the league-leading Oklahoma City Thunder.

In seven of their last ten wins, they’ve maintained a scoring gap of ten or more points over their opponents while scoring at least 100 in all those games. And they’re doing it with Jaylen Brown’s recent dip in scoring. He hasn’t even hit double digits in his last two games. It just shows you how deep this roster is.

On the Upswing: Phoenix Suns Recent Scores

The Suns might be a ten-seed team, but they’ve recently battled against some major players and come up on top. Case in point is their 108-106 conquest of the Bucks on Monday night and the Cavaliers 123-112 on March 21st. Kevin Durant’s 42 points against Cleveland and 38 points in the win against Milwaukee led the charge in those matchups.

Although they have only six wins in the last ten games, their recent accomplishments will have the Celtics wondering what to expect when they take on the Suns on their home court.

Phoenix needs to win their next two games just to hit .500. If they want to make the playoffs, they’ll have to win some tough games.

Who Needs It More? Celtics vs Suns Prediction

Boston has star players like Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, and Jrue Holiday, but it also has a solid anchor of players who can step up if someone like Brown is playing injured.

The Suns have their trio of incredible players, Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, but they don’t have as solid a base behind them.

Devin Booker had a 41-point game against the Bulls on the 19th, but since then hasn’t been able to hit the 20-point mark. He needs to step up.

Although I’m rooting for the underdog, I don’t think they have what it takes to subdue the Celtics. It’ll be close, though, especially with the game being played in Phoenix.

Still, Boston will squeak past the Suns 112-108 and keep their streak alive. I’m just wondering if Kevin Durant can drop another 35+ points against such a strong defense. Remember to follow us at PayPerHead to never miss an NBA analysis for the games in this season.
