The No. 4 seed Cavs are coming off two playoff series, each going the distance. That takes a toll. The Raptors tied up the series 3-3 in an overtime battle that was close to a college buzzer-beater finale. But the Cavs showed that they were the better team by winning Game 7, 114-102. The home team won every game in the series.
Against the No. 1 seed Detroit Pistons, the games were even closer. The home team won in each of the first four games before the Cavs won in Detroit in overtime, 117-113 in Game 5. Detroit won Game 6 in a do-or-die effort before the Cavs dominated Game 7 125-94 to leave no doubt who deserves to move on.
New York Knicks Recent Scores: Comfortably Cruising
In the first round against the Atlanta Hawks, the Knicks fell behind 2-1. They won decisively in the first game, 113-102, before losing twice in one-point battles (106-107, 108-109). The next three games were dominant wins, especially Game 6, 140-89.
The Conference Semi-Finals were against the Philadelphia 76ers, who were brilliant against the Boston Celtics, who were the overwhelming favorites in the first round.
