DR Congo Recent Scores: 52 Year Break

This is DR Congo’s first appearance in the World Cup in 52 years. They last competed as Zaire in 1974. In their last two matches, they managed a win and a draw. In the warm-up round, they managed a draw with Denmark, 0-0, but lost to Chile 1-2.

Their strong suit is their defensive discipline, headed by Chancel Mbemba at the back. Unfortunately, DR Congo lacks in its attacks. They have only scored three goals in their last five outings.

The country was hit by an Ebola outbreak last month, and the team had to quarantine before entering the US. They weren’t able to train at home and instead, relocated to Belgium before flying to Houston.

These teams have never met in competitive or friendly settings. It’s not surprising, considering DR Congo has been out of the World Cup for so many years. This will be an historic new matchup, but a lopsided one as Portugal is one of the favorites to win the tournament.

In what could be the final game of the 2026 NBA season, we head back to San Antonio for Game 5 on Saturday, June 13 at PayPerHead. The Knicks are up 3-1 in the NBA finals after the comeback of the century.

Now it’s the Spurs’ turn to come back. Only one team has returned from a 3-1 deficit in the finals. That was the Cleveland in 2016.

The Spurs will be wondering, on their trip home, how much of a lead they need in order to win a game. The Knicks have three chances to finish the series and win the Championship. They’ll be happy to do it in San Antonio instead of New York.

The Knicks looked like they would be giving up two straight games as they fell behind early and couldn’t seem to catch the Spurs.

But they’ve become masters of the comeback. In Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals, they were down 22 points to Cleveland and overcame it, and Wednesday night, they did even better. Somehow, they wouldn’t give up and kept putting up the points while their defense worked at smothering the Spurs in the fourth quarter.

San Antonio Spurs Recent Scores: Not Hungry Enough

The Spurs made 11 of their first 16 3-pointers. But in the second half, they lost their mojo and connected on just 3-for-17. Wembanyama admitted, “…We clearly weren’t the most hungry in the second half.”

Wemby had 24 points, 13 rebounds and 1 assist for the Spurs. Dylan Harper scored 21 points off the bench, while De’Aaron Fox and Devin Vassell each contributed 18 points and 5 rebounds.

American Christian Pulisic is a winger, attacking midfielder and forward for AC Milan. He is regarded as one of the best North American players of all time, known for his dribbling, directness and playmaking. He, along with captain Tim Ream, who is a veteran defender, are the focal points of the team.

In the backend, none of the three goalkeepers has done a convincing job to claim the starting spot. Castle had 23 points, including a 3-pointer late in the game for a 111-104 lead in the final two minutes. The Knicks inched dangerously close before Castle secured the win with free throws.

Knicks vs Spurs History

The Spurs snapped New York’s 13-game winning streak in Game 3, winning 115-111. That win was crucial, especially in New York, as a loss would have put the Knicks up 3-0 in the series. With the fourth game also at MSG, that would have been too big a mountain to climb. Now they know they can win in New York, which puts a completely different spin on the odds.

Castle, who recently came off the bench, glanced at Victor before charging up the floor. Victor shot the ball up to Castle, who had turned his back to Wemby while running ahead. He missed the pass, which could have resulted in a game-winning play.

Weather Conditions for the Monaco Grand Prix: Smooth Sailing

It looks like the temperature will slowly rise over the weekend, reaching between 20 and 24 degrees Celsius for Sunday’s race. On Friday’s free practices, there may be a drizzle in the morning, but it will be minimal, making the day mostly dry.

Saturday includes a 60-minute free practice before qualifying. The weather will be sunny and partly cloudy, providing excellent road conditions.

Sunday’s race should have a pleasant mix of sun and light cloud, and likely dry conditions for racing.

Monaco Grand Prix History: Almost 100 Years Old

The first race was held in Monaco in 1929, and it’s been part of the Formula 1 calendar since 1955. Along with the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, it forms the Triple Crown of Motorsport. The circuit length is 2.074 miles, and the race covers 78 laps, for a total of 161.734 miles, with 18 legendary corners.

Last year’s winner was Lando Norris with McLaren. He is currently in 5th place, with 58 points. In second place was Charles Leclerc, from Monaco, who won this race in 2024, becoming the first native to win it in 93 years (Louis Chiron won in 1931).

Monaco Grand Prix Prediction: Ferrari and Leclerc

Although Antonelli has been winning most of the races this season, the unique Monaco track doesn’t suit Mercedes as well. Charles Leclerc is the frontrunner to win, as this is his home race and he’s good on street circuits. The Ferrari’s strong cornering performance also makes this the team to beat. He’s expected to get pole position, which will give him even better odds to win.

Lewis Hamilton is the other Ferrari driver. He’s favored to take Position 2. If these two drivers qualify well, they should be able to take the top two spots, but I don’t know if Antonelli will let that happen.

Our Monaco Grand Prix prediction is that Charles Leclerc will finish first, followed by Kimi Antonelli and Lewis Hamilton.
