The Eagles might be 2-0, but they were close games against the Commanders and Titans.
Week 1 was against the Commanders, with the Eagles squeaking by with a 24-22 win. Although the Eagles played well, the Commanders kept it close. Unfortunately, Washington had too many errors that cost them the game.
In Week 2, the Eagles finally beat the Titans in Nashville, something they’ve never done. Rookie QB Cam Ward scored first with a one-yard touchdown run, but the Eagles took the lead soon after. The lead changed hands again in a game that could have gone either way.
Chicago Bears Recent Scores: Lopsided Scores
The Bears scored 59 points in their season opener against the Carolina Panthers in Week 1 of the 2026 season. Carolina’s defense may have been asleep at the wheel, but the offense was doing its best, getting 37 points of its own. The 59-37 win for the Bears was the highest-scoring season opener in NFL history.
The No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL draft, Caleb Williams, threw for 269 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for 65 yards and two more scores. D’Andre Swift rushed for 124 yards on 18 carries with three touchdowns.
Carolina’s Bryce Young was the 2023 No. 1 overall pick. Even though he lost his fourth consecutive home opener, it was by far his best season debut, throwing for 361 yards and three touchdowns, plus running for a score.
Week 2 was a completely different story as the Minnesota Vikings shut down the Bears to win 9-3. Caleb Williams was sacked four times and left the game halfway through the fourth quarter with a right hamstring injury.

The Eagles and Bears have been battling each other since 1933, when they had their one and only tie. Until 1999, the Bears won 25 and lost only 5 games. Since that time, the tables have turned, with the Eagles winning 12 and losing only 5, including their last meeting on November 28, 2025, when Chicago beat Philadelphia 24-15.
They’ve also met in four postseason games, including the last in 2012 for the NFC Wild Card Game, when the Eagles beat the Bears 16-15.
Eagles vs Bears Prediction: Favorites Flip
Tight end Zach Ertz will probably return to the Eagles for Week 3. He’s replacing Dallas Goedert, who is out for a few weeks with an MCL sprain; rookie Eli Stowers is on IR, as is Grant Calcaterra. The only two healthy TEs left are Johnny Mundt and E.J. Jenkins.
Ertz played with the Eagles for nine years before being traded in 2021. The 35-year-old free agent needs only 11 more catches to become the Eagles’ all-time leader in receptions.
On the Chicago end, Caleb Williams is expected to miss the game because of his injury, and backup QB Tyson Bagent is in concussion protocol. That means the starter could be 38-year-old Case Keenum. Chicago was the original favorite for this game, but it’s now moved to Philadelphia. Odds are now -4.5 points in favor of the Eagles.
The Bears have a good run game and are playing at home, but that won’t be enough to win.
