Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals hope to secure their third Super Bowl berth in franchise history. In both previous Super Bowl contests, Cincy played against the San Francisco 49ers.
Also, in both games, Joe Montana led the 49ers to come from behind wins after the Bengals had grabbed the lead. This year, Cincinnati is more fired up than in previous potential Super Bowl seasons because Joe Burrow is unstoppable.
Cincinnati has won other major sporting events, including multiple World Series, but never a Super Bowl. Suppose Burrow and his mates can pull off the AFC Championship game upset over Mahomes and the Chiefs. In that case, the Stripes can become conference champions and march into the Vince Lombardi Trophy contest with a shot at making Cincinnati history.
San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco has worked hard to get back to this point since blowing a 9-point fourth-quarter lead against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV.
Due to the pandemic, 2020 was a bad season for many teams. San Francisco bounced back in 2021, winning enough games to make the playoffs.
San Francisco is one of the few NFL teams that has won multiple Super Bowls. So we shouldn’t be surprised that SF has another chance to win the Lombardi Trophy.
Since the playoffs began, the 49ers have played and beaten the Dallas Cowboys and the league’s first Super Bowl winner, the Green Bay Packers. A third straight victory against the NFC West rival Rams is the only thing standing in San Francisco’s way from another Super Bowl Sunday berth.

When does the Super Bowl LVI happen?
The NFL has scheduled its trophy-winning event for February 13, 2022. The game was supposed to happen on February 9.
But after the NFL decided to add a Week 18, the postseason pushed out a week so that the conference championship games happened a week later than expected.
The conference title contests occur on January 30, with the NFL Pro Bowl a week later on February 6 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Where is Super Bowl LVI taking place?
The game happens at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. It’s the first time the league has played their top event at a Los Angeles County site since the 1993 game where Dallas beat Buffalo 52-17.
That game took place at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. SoFi is one of the newest stadiums in the United States. So fans lucky enough to grab tix should expect a great viewing experience.
Which outlet will broadcast the Super Bowl?
NBC will broadcast the February event. NBC outlet Peacock will stream the event.
Even though CBS, FOX, and ESPN won’t show the game, they will support the NFL by discussing the results on their sports networks.

Per Entertainment Tonight, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar will perform during this year’s Super Bowl halftime show.

But although the league hasn’t said when the next title contest happens at SoFi, we should expect it to be soon. The Inglewood venue is one of the best of its kind in the nation.
The NFL has ruled that only cities with an NFL team can host a Super Bowl. Just two California teams, LAR and the Chargers, both play at SoFi.
So any return to Golden State means a game at the Inglewood stadium.
