NFL Week 14 Preview and Sportsbook Management Advice

NFL Week 14 Preview. Although NFL Week 14 starts with a ho-hum matchup between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night football, things pick up big time on Sunday when the good old York Jets football squad takes on Josh Allen and the Bills. Also, on Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers throw down against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with this year’s Mr. Irrelevant, QB Brock Purdy, under center. Pay per head agents should keep reading for analysis and info on where the money is going for each NFL game this week.

2022 Week 13 NFL Bookie Betting Recap

No doubt, the most important game in the thirteenth week was the Bengals hosting the Chiefs. Joe “Cool” Burrow and Patrick “Magic Man” Mahomes threw down in a game that went straight up to +2.5 home dog Cincinnati.

The home squads prevailed in the two other significant betting program matchups. The Philadelphia Eagles blasted the Tennessee Titans 35-10, and the San Francisco 49ers, with Purdy playing most of the game, beat the Miami Dolphins 33-17.

It’s on to  NFL week 14 where pay per head sportsbook agents may only have to use their layoff accounts on a few games. Check out a rundown of NFL week 14.

2022 NFL Week 14 Schedule

  • When: Thursday, December 8 – Monday, December 12

Bookmaker Software Tips for Week 14 in the NFL

Bye Teams: Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints, Washington Commanders

Thursday Game – December 8

Las Vegas Raiders -6 at Los Angeles Rams

Things are so bad in Los Angeles that the Raiders, yes, the football Raiders, are favorites to beat the Rams on LAR’s field.

Neither Matthew Stafford nor Aaron Donald projects to play. Not only that, but the Rams have zero depth. It makes sense that at least 63% are all over the Raiders to cover.

Action Prediction: The Rams could attract some action. But without Donald, most NFL handicappers will back the Raiders because even the best defenses in the league will find it challenging to stop LV running back Josh Jacobs right now.

Sunday, December 11

Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers -3

No word on Lamar’s status. The Ravens’ starting quarterback suffered an injury in the 10-9 win over the Denver Broncos.

If the Baltimore Ravens must play without Lamar, the Pittsburgh Steelers could have things their way. Right now, 67% are on the Steelers to cover.

Action Prediction: Price per head agents shouldn’t blindly use their layoff account in this matchup. Ravens backup QB Tyler Huntley has skills.

He can beat a Steelers’ secondary that allows 255.1 passing yards each game. So if Pittsburgh is overplayed, lay off risk but do it sparingly.

Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals -6

Deshaun Watson was horrendous in his first game after sitting out the last couple of seasons. Watson shouldn’t play much better on Sunday.

The Cleveland Browns may have decided to mail in the season, which might be why the Cincinnati Bengals are such big favorites.

Action Prediction: Deshaun under center is also why 74%, a massive number, are all over the Bengals to cover the spread. It isn’t easy seeing the Browns keeping pace.

Bookie software agents using the layoff account might be warranted.

New York Jets at Buffalo Bills -9.5

The Jets won their first game with Mike White under center. They played well in their second game, but White couldn’t lead the New York Jets to a second straight victory.

On Sunday, NYJ faces the rival Buffalo Bills, a team they beat in the first head-to-head of the season. 63% so far believe the Jets cover.

Action Prediction: Bookie website operators should set max limits on the Jets’ moneyline. Buffalo is playing great football, but their wins have come against teams with okay but not great offenses. The Jets have a great offense.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans -3.5

After an impressive win against the Ravens, the Jacksonville Jaguars bombed in week 13, falling apart versus the Detroit Lions.

Tennessee won’t beat Jacksonville by close to 30 the way Detroit did. But over 80% early in the week believe the Tennessee Titans cover.

Action Prediction: The action should continue to go to Tennessee. So much so that the line might move a whole point to Titans -4.5.

Houston Texans at Dallas Cowboys -17

The Houston Texans haven’t said if they’re going to bench Kyle Allen in favor of Davis Mills. Even if the Texans bench Kyle and start Davis, it shouldn’t matter.

Houston won’t upset the Dallas Cowboys. But, at least right now, most NFL handicappers believe the Texans cover the enormous spread.

Action Prediction: This feels like a 50/50 action game. Dallas can blow out teams like Houston by 40. So casual players could jump on Big D.

Pro players won’t lay -17, no matter the matchup. Use free bookie software tools to manage action.

Philadelphia Eagles -6.5 at New York Giants

York Giants versus Philly Eagles is always a big game. This year’s version of the New York Giants shouldn’t beat this year’s version of the Philadelphia Eagles.

In the past, a game between the Eagles and Giants would have been perfect for a Saturday, December contest. But the league won’t start playing on Saturday until December 17.

So, instead, Eagles versus Giants is one of the top Sunday December matchups of the season.

Action Prediction: It’s about 50/50 on which team covers and which doesn’t. Use your PPH services to manage action, but don’t worry so much unless one of your top players dumps on either side to cover.

Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions -1.5

The Lions have improved so much that Detroit is the chalk versus 2-loss Minnesota. The Lions do head into this after destroying Jacksonville 40-14.

So it makes sense that players would back Detroit. Minnesota also has fans and should continue to pick up more play as we get closer to kickoff.

Action Prediction: Players aren’t backing Detroit by much, 52% to 48%. Here’s another where you may not have to worry about the action.

Kansas City Chiefs -9 at Denver Broncos

Denver is a disaster. The Denver Broncos are 3-9 overall and have zero shot of keeping Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs from dominating.

At least, that’s what 76% of sports bettors believe. The other 24% believe the Broncos cover.

Action Prediction: PPH bookie agents know what to do. Set limits on Denver’s money line if betting gets out of control. Use the layoff account if KC attracts too much action.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at San Francisco 49ers -3.5

Tom Brady provided yet another comeback victory for the NFC South-leading Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The San Francisco 49ers must start their third-string quarterback after Jimmy G. broke a foot.

Niners head coach Kyle Shanahan said he feels good about Purdy. We’ll wait and see, but former Browns signal-caller Baker Mayfield is out there.

Action Prediction: 65% are all over the Niners, even though Purdy will start, because the Buccaneers’ offense is a disaster. So most feel SF covers the 3.5 points.

NFL Sunday Night Football: Miami Dolphins -3 at Los Angeles Chargers

Miami Dolphins versus Los Angeles Chargers is suddenly a huge game. The Fins and Bolts lost last Sunday, so both teams are in a must-win contest on December 11 to keep their playoff dreams alive.

Currently, 64% believe the Dolphins cover because they’ve got a higher-scoring offense. Also, the Bolts’ defense can’t stop the rush.

Action Prediction: Expect to break out your best bookie software to manage the action on this one. The Chargers often find a way at home. So consider setting max limits for sure.

Monday Night Football – December 12

New England Patriots -1.5 at Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals are desperate to break a 2-game losing streak. The Patriots are in the same boat as the Cards, hoping to break a 2-game losing streak.

The Valley has an edge at quarterback. But 58% believe New England’s D stops Kyler Murray and the Cards from grabbing the win.

Action Prediction: Depending on where your players live, you could see massive action on Zona or the Pats. Adjust your spread lines and set limits based on where the money goes.
