The US Tennis Open begins on August 26th and runs until September 8th at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, NY. The top favorites are Carlos Alcaraz for the men, and Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka share the honors for the women. Let’s look at the best US Open tennis odds for you.
US Open Men’s Singles Odds
The top men’s singles have similar odds, with Daniil Medvedev trailing in fourth place before dropping considerably with Alexander Zverev. Rafael Nadal dropped out, but Matteo Berrettini moved up after winning the Swiss Open and Austrian Open. Will he continue to climb in this last major Open of the year?
Player | Odds to win |
---|---|
Carlos Alcaraz | +130 |
Novak Djokovic | +200 |
Jannik Sinner | +225 |
Daniil Medvedev | +600 |
Alexander Zverev | +1500 |
Matteo Berrettini | +3300 |
Stefanos Tsitsipas | +3300 |
Taylor Fritz | +3300 |
Nick Kyrgios | +4000 |
Holger Rune | +4000 |
Carlos Alcaraz
He is still only World No. 3, but Carlos Alcaraz continues to dominate the tennis world by having the shortest odds for the men’s singles portion of the US Open. He won the US Open in 2022 when he was only 19 years old and is a two-time grand slam winner this year, winning the French Open and beating Novak Djokovic to take top prize at Wimbledon.
Novak Djokovic
The 37-year-old was expected to miss the Olympics while recovering from knee surgery. But he beat out his rival Alcaraz in straight sets, 7-6, 7-6, to win the gold. Maybe he isn’t slowing down just yet. Djokovic won the US Open last year, his fourth, and will try to be the first to win consecutive titles since Roger Federer won five from 2004 to 2008. He won three Grand Slams in 2023, but this is his last chance to win one in 2024.
Jannik Sinner
Although he’s ranked No. 1 in the world, he’s still sitting behind the first two in the odds for this season’s final grand slam. He’s also the least accomplished of the three but was able to beat Medvedev in the Australian Open to win the crown earlier this year.
Daniil Medvedev
At Wimbledon, Medvedev was able to get some revenge against Sinner by beating him in the quarterfinals. It was a four-hour marathon where Sinner had to leave at one point because he wasn’t feeling well. Medvedev’s victory was short-lived, as he lost to Alcaraz in the semifinals. His only grand slam win was at the US Open in 2021. This year, he made the finals at the Australian Open and the semifinals at Wimbledon.
US Open Women’s Singles Odds
Barbora Krejcikova may have won Wimbledon this year, but because she hasn’t competed much since, she has dropped out of the top 10. Quinwen Zheng moved up on the US open tennis odds board once she became the first Asian (male or female) to win gold at the Olympics in singles tennis.
Player | Odds to win |
---|---|
Iga Swiatek | +300 |
Aryna Sabalenka | +300 |
Coco Gauff | +500 |
Elena Rybakina | +700 |
Naomi Osaka | +1000 |
Jessica Pegula | +1800 |
Mirra Andreeva | +2200 |
Quinwen Zheng | +2000 |
Ons Jabeur | +2500 |
Jasmine Paolini | +2500 |
Barbora Krejcikova | +2800 |
Emma Raducanu | +4000 |
Maria Sakkari | +4000 |
Karolina Muchova | +4400 |
Marketa Vondrousova | +5000 |
Iga Swiatek
At 23, Iga Swiatek has won the French Open four times, including this year. Her other grand slam win was the US Open in 2022. That’s the only major win she’s had on a hard court. This year, apart from her win in the French Open, she’s only made it to the third round in the Australian Open and Wimbledon.
Aryna Sabalenka
Aryna won the Australian Open in 2024 for the second straight year. In 2023, she made it to the semi-finals of the French Open and Wimbledon and the finals of the US Open. This year, she made it to the quarterfinals at the French Open, but an injury caused her to drop out of Wimbledon. If she’s healthy, she’ll be challenging to compete against.
Coco Gauff
Her first major win was the 2023 US Open. This year, she made it to the fourth round at Wimbledon and was a semi-finalist in the Australian Open. The 20-year-old is in the top three of the odds list to win the US Open. It would be her second major win.
