An important part of being a successful pay per head agent is cutting risk.
Although the 2017-2018 Men’s College Basketball Season doesn’t start for some time, odds makers in Vegas have pin-pointed 4 teams going off at 25 to 1 odds or higher with legitimate shots to win the 2018 NCAA Men’s College Basketball Tournament.
I provide information on why the following 4 college hoops teams can win it all. Then, I remind agents what they must do in this situation.
Sure, the Wildcats lost the best player in college basketball last season, Josh Hart, to the NBA. So what? Nova returns guards Jalen Brunson, Phil Booth, and Mikal Bridges.
They also return 6’ 7”, 250lbs, sophomore forward Eric Paschall. Paschall and 6’ 10” freshman Dylan Painter figure to start upfront. Coach Jay Wright is going to employ a 3-guard set with Brunson, Booth, and Bridges.
It sure looks to me like Villanova is much better than 25 to 1 to win the Big Dance in March.
Mark Few finally got the Zags to a Final Four. North Carolina beat Gonzaga 71 to 65 in the National Championship. When a program gets to a Final Four, it can string together a few terrific seasons.
I think Few might do that in 2017-2018. Gonzaga is always competitive. This year, Few has a couple of strong freshman in 6’ 5” guard Zach Norvell Jr. and 6’ 11” center Jacob Larsen.
There’s no way Florida should be at 25 to 1 to win the NCAA Men’s College Basketball Championship. Florida returns it’s two starting guards, Chris Chiozza and KeVaughn Allen.
Center John Egbunu also returns. Egbunu should be much improved in his junior season from his sophomore season.
USC might be the best bet on the board. First, their odds are fantastic. The Trojans are offering way more than they should. USC should be no worse than a +2000 play.
Second, USC returns a lot of talent. Bennie Boatwright is now a sophomore. So is the very good Chimezie Metu. Junior guard Elijah Stewart could battle for Pac-12 Player Honors.
If he’s improved at all, he’ll be a tough guard for any team to handle.
It’s never easy to win the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Don’t take chances. It’s important that all per head agents set max betting limits on NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Futures.
That’s the only way to cut risk at this time of the year.
