2020 Dubai World Cup Canceled and Florida Derby Goes On

How Pay Per Head Bookie Agents can promote Florida Derby betting during the COVID-19 induced sports break

The coronavirus pandemic has turned the sports world upside down, but horses are still running and your players can get down in the racebook, including the Florida Derby and racing at Gulfstream Park.

The NBA and NHL seasons are on hold. MLB Opening Day was on March 26. That’s not going to happen. Baseball might not start until June. The disruption, no doubt, has led to a loss in revenue and, likely some anxiety about your sportsbook business. As an online bookie, you might wonder what you can offer your customers.

It’s ironic that even though the major sports leagues are on hiatus, the sport that started it all goes on like business as usual. Thoroughbred tracks throughout the U.S. won’t run races in front of fans, but they will run races.

When it comes to what track you should promote this week to your Pay Per Head players, nothing compares to Gulfstream Park. Check out why you should promote horse racing betting on Gulfstream races. Also, see why March 28 could be a huge day for your racebook’s bottom line.

Gulfstream Park Runs Weekly From Wednesday to Sunday

The final day of the current Gulfstream Park meet is on Sunday, March 29. Although that might bum some of you bookies out, the following week racing shifts from Gulfstream to it’s sister racetrack, Gulfstream Park West.

We’ll make sure to give you the scoop on racing at Gulfstream Park West as well as other tracks running after Gulfstream goes on hiatus. In addition to Gulfstream Park, per head agents can offer horse race wagering this week on Aqueduct, Santa Anita, and Oaklawn Park.

Gulfstream Park Runs the Florida Derby on March 28

Due to the pandemic, Churchill Downs has switched the Kentucky Derby from May 2 to September 5. Although that’s a bummer for horse racing fans, it won’t affect one of the most important Derby preps of the year, the March 28 Florida Derby.

The Florida Derby is a must watch and wager. Pay Per Head agents can promote Florida Derby betting. The win pool alone should attract over $200,000. This is especially true because Churchill Downs has changed the Kentucky Derby date.

Horseplayers wager on horse races. The great thing about March 28 is that not only will Gulfstream Park run the Florida Derby, but they will also run excellent Grade 1 races before the featured event.

Check out the possible field for this year’s Florida Derby.

Now that we know some of the probable entrants for the main event, let’s check out other races on the March 28 Gulfstream Park card.

Dubai World Cup Day scheduled for Saturday, March 28 was canceled due to COVID-19

Boost Bookie Profit on Florida Derby Day at Gulfstream Park

The NBA and NHL will resume play. Before we know it, Major League Baseball will start their 2020 season. In the meantime, bookies can make big dollars from horse racing. The Sport of Kings won’t close their doors any time soon.
