PayPerHead’s NCAA Men’s Final Four Preview

The 2022 March Madness Final Four field showcases four of the most historic programs in college basketball history. Starting on Monday, March 28, players will call bookie agents looking to make future bets on programs winning the Final Four National Championship on April 4 and the respective Final Four semifinal games. Keep reading for the PayPerHead preview of the 2022 NCAA Men’s Final Four.

Our quest to predict the March Madness Sweet 16 and Elite Eight was a massive failure. Dalen Terry, the University of Arizona player who appears on the top image on our blog, failed to help Arizona march to the Elite Eight, much less the NCAA Men’s Final Four.

Arizona’s NCAA Tournament ended in a whimper. But so did the team that knocked out the Wildcats, the Houston Cougars.

Saint Peter’s NCAA Tournament ended with a 20-point loss to college basketball blue blood North Carolina in the Sweet 16. Miami’s Cinderella run ended in a 26-point loss to Big 12 power Kansas.

So after significant upsets and the chance that more than one high-seeded team might make it to the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, a couple of 2-seeds, a 1-seed, and an 8-seed stamped their tickets to the NCAA Tournament Men’s Final Four.

The 8-seed is none-other than ACC power North Carolina, a team that probably should have been closer to a 4-seed than an 8-seed. Not only that, but every participating March Madness Final Four squad has won the title multiple times in the past.

  • 2-Villanova Wildcats

  • 1-Kansas Jayhawks

  • 2-Duke Blue Devils

  • 8-North Carolina Tar Heels

One note about our predictions. As a pay per head bookie software provider, our primary goal in these blogs is to predict where the action goes and not which teams win.Always pay attention to our statements regarding using your layoff account, setting up bet alerts, and watching for action on specific teams. We predict which team will win to give you a sense of where future bets might cost pay per head sportsbook agents’ money. But our goal with these blogs is to help you run a successful and profitable sportsbook. With that in mind, check out our NCAA Men’s Final Four preview and both to win predictions and bookie website predictions.

2022 NCAA Tournament Men’s Final Four

  • When: Saturday, April 2
  • Where: Caesars Superdome, New Orleans, LA
  • Broadcast Network: TBS

Final Four National Semifinals 1 – Villanova Kansas Jayhawks – 6:09 pm ET

Let’s start with Villanova. The Wildcats were a preseason favorite to win the title.Jay Wright’s squad won the championship in 2016 as a 2-seed and 2018 as a 1-seed. Nova finished the regular season with a 23-7 record. Villanova won the Big East Tournament and then entered the NCAA Tournament as the 2-seed in the South Region.Nova beat the following teams to stamp their Men’s Final Four ticket.

Villanova’s Men’s Basketball Tournament Record

  • Delaware 80-60
  • Ohio State 71-61
  • Michigan 63-55
  • Houston 50-44

The victory over Houston proved the Wildcats could win a drag-out, defensive-oriented basketball game. The Cougars held Villanova to 29% shooting from the field and 24% shooting from three. Villanova will have to step it up big time to contend with the Kansas Jayhawks. Rock Chalk Jayhawk shot 56% from the field and 36% from three when beating Miami. See below for the Kansas Jayhawks’ five March Madness NCAA Tournament wins.

Kansas’ March to the Caesars Superdome

  • Texas Southern 83-56
  • Creighton 79-72
  • Providence 66-61
  • Miami 76-50

If Kansas beats Nova, they will have won versus three Big East teams, Providence and Creighton also play in the Big East, on their way to the National Championship contest. These two played in the 2018 Men’s Final Four. Villanova beat Kansas 95-79. That Nova squad relied on running and gunning. This Villanova squad relies on defense. Point guard Collin Gillespie is capable of taking a game over. But he’s not as capable as Kansas’ Ochai Agbaji. Not only that, but Nova beat a tired team. Miami uses seven players while Kansas head coach Bill Self plays everyone on his bench.Kansas is the second choice to win the National Championship. The Jayhawks have the edge in a battle between these two Final Four royalty programs.PPH sports agents should set max limits on the Jayhawks to win the Final Four title. They should set max limits on Nova to win on the moneyline just in case and consider max limits on Kansas to cover since players could pound the Jayhawks against the spread. As far as our to-win prediction, the Kansas Jayhawks are shooting the ball too well to lose. Villanova got lucky against a Houston team that suffered an emotional letdown after knocking out the 1-seed Arizona Wildcats in the Sweet 16.Kansas won’t suffer a letdown after dominating Miami. If anything, Bill Self’s squad looks primed for a big victory. Give the Jayhawks the nod to head to New Orleans. Bookie Advice: Set max limits on Kansas ATS, Nova ML, and both teams to win the Final Four National Championship

Final Four National Semifinals 2 – North Carolina vs. Duke – 8:49 pm ET

North Carolina Tar Heels versus Duke Blue Devils are two teams that makeup one of the best rivalries in college basketball, but it’s also one of the greatest rivalries in sports. Both teams reside on Tobacco Road in North Carolina. The baby-blue Tar Heels take on the deep-blue Dookies on Saturday for the right to go to the Final Four. The two rivals have played each other 257 times since 1920.But, surprisingly, the two most dominant teams in the Athletic Coast Conference have never met each other in the NCAA Tournament. So on Saturday, it will be the first time that Duke or UNC can knock their rival from the Men’s NCAA Tournament. The fact that the first March Madness game happens in a national semifinal and in what could be Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski’s final game as head coach is poetry. It doesn’t get any better than Duke versus North Carolina in the regular season. The guess is that it won’t get any better than Blue Devils versus Tar Heels with a trip to the men’s basketball final at stake. So which team goes to New Orleans with a shot at the final? Check out a profile of both NCAA Men’s Final contenders starting with North Carolina.

North Carolina Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament Record

  • Marquette 95-63
  • Baylor 93-86
  • UCLA 73-66
  • Saint Peter’s 69-49

The Heels won their first round game against Big East squad Marquette. But it was their second round masterpiece versus defending champion Baylor had players and PPH bookie agents singing their praises. The second round win over Baylor impressed more than the win over the first team the Heels beat. UNC rushed to a 25-point lead. The Bears fought back to tie the game and for overtime. In overtime, North Carolina made most of their field goal attempts to send the Bears back to Waco. The Heels kept it going versus UCLA in the Sweet 16. The 8-seed held Bruins’ leading scorer Johnny Juzang to 14 points total. UNC was particularly effective at containing Juzang in the second half. After Baby Blue rolled through the Pac-12’s second-best squad, they faced upstart Saint Peter’s in the Elite Eight. Even Saint Peter himself marveled at how well Carolina played versus the Peacocks. Since their first game, the 15-seed Peacocks had impressed players and every PPH services agent with their defense. The Tar Heels dominated the first half and sent the former NCAA Division II underdog out of the tournament.

Duke Blue Devils’ Path to New Orleans

  • CSU Fullerton 78-61
  • Michigan State 85-76
  • Texas Tech 78-73
  • Arkansas 78-69

Duke’s road to the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans took them past two of the best defensive teams in college basketball. Texas Tech and Arkansas play excellent defense. The Blue Devils beat Texas Tech 78-73. Coach K’s squad got past Arkansas 78-69. But although Duke won their Sweet 16 and Elite Eight games, and those are the two that sent the Blue Devils to New Orleans, Duke’s key victory on their path to the Final Four at the Caesar’s Superdome happened against Michigan State. Many agents that run bookie websites believed Duke might fall to Tom Izzo’s Spartans team. In the second half, it looked as if Coach K’s incredible run would end.But Duke ended up outscoring MSU 46-41 in the second stanza and sending the Blue Devils to the Sweet 16.Duke now has a shot at beating their biggest rivals on Saturday and sending Coach K to the final game in his last season. The Devils should beat the Heels. But just in case, per head agents must set max limits on the Carolina moneyline, Duke to cover, and both teams to win the title.   Bookie Advice: Set max limits on Duke ATS, UNC ML, and both squads to win the Final Four National Championship
