PayPerHead’s 2023 Super Bowl Prop Betting Preview

2023 Super Bowl. Since there’s only one last game, it’s much easier to focus on the betting. And we’ll look mainly at the Super Bowl prop bets available to your players.

Current Super Bowl Odds

But before I get into that, I wanted to mention that the Eagles are the favorites for Super Bowl LVII. It’s not much of a point spread, but they’re usually the underdog.

NFC’s Philadelphia Eagles (-2) vs. AFC’s Kansas City Chiefs

And for your players that can’t decide which team to root for, they can always make the over/under for total points scored, which is currently at 49.5.

The moneyline bet is Eagles -130, Chiefs +110.

For the more ambitious sports bettors who aren’t just concerned with the Super Bowl winner, there are prop bets. Here are some of the top Super Bowl player props your bettors might be interested in.

Player Props

Philadelphia

DeVonta Smith – WR Under 65.5 Rec yards Under 5.5 RECs

Quez Watkins – WR Over 10.5 Rec yards

Miles Sanders – RB Over 55.5 Rush yards Over 4.5 Rec yards

Dallas Goedert – TE Under 46.5 Rec yards Under 4.5 RECs

Kenneth Gainwell – RB Under 25.5 Rush yards Under 20.5 Rec yards

A.J. Brown – WR Under 72.5 Rec yards Under 5.5 RECs

Kansas City

Travis Kelce – TE Under 78.5 Rec yards Under 7.5 RECs

Jerick McKinnon – RB Under 23.5 Rush yards Under 23.5 Rec yards

Isiah Pacheco – RB Over 52.5 Rush yards

Both teams have top offenses. Plus, their defense can get to the quarterback. The Eagles had the most sacks this season with 70, which is just two shy of the record. They also have the most sacks in the NFL playoffs, with eight.

The Chiefs are no slouch either, as they are second in the league with 55 sacks in the regular season and one less than the Eagles in the playoffs – seven.

Does this mean we’ll see a lot of quarterbacks getting caught in their backfield during the big game? That might be an excellent prop to promote.

Computer simulation companies like to promote their high success rates in choosing winners in sports betting. Getting these reports for yourself wouldn’t be a bad idea to see where your players might be putting their money.

It’ll help you stay ahead of any trends that could cost you. For example, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has a passing touchdown prop of 1.5, but the computer model says he’ll go over that number.

Either put limits in or be ready to move your line to counteract those reports, so you don’t have too many bets going to one side.

Quarterback Props

For those players who only like betting on the quarterbacks, there are many options to choose from.

Patrick Mahomes – Chiefs

Under 287.5 Pass yards

Over 1.5 Pass TDs

Over 0.5 INTs

Under 25.5 CMPs

Jalen Hurts – Eagles

Under 250.5 Pass yards

Over 1.5 Pass TDs

Over 0.5 INTs

Under 21.5 CMPs

Over 45.5 Rush yards

Hurts is known for his high level of rushing yards in each game which is why he has that extra super bowl prop.

Halftime Show Props

If you want to help your players bring in their significant others, let them know about the halftime show featuring Rihanna. There are prop bets about which songs she’ll play, whether she’ll bring on a guest, and a lot more I would never imagine.

Novelty props are good too. One type that I would add has to do with the Kelce brothers. Jason Kelce of the Eagles is playing against his brother Travis Kelce of the Chiefs.

Both of them have  won a Super Bowl already. But only one of them can win this one. I’m sure the biggest concern will be whose jersey their mother will be wearing at the game.

The prop could be, which son does Mrs. Kelce love best?

If you can think of something to wager on during Super Bowl Sunday, it’s probably already a prop bet.
