NFL Week 6 Preview

NFL Week 6 Preview and Sportsbook Management

NFL Week 6 Preview. Washington heads to Chicago to take on the Bears. Other top matchups in week 6 include the Saints hosting the Bengals, the Giants taking on the Ravens, and in Sunday’s most discussed matchup, the Bills traveling to the Chiefs. Keep reading for everything a price per head agent must know about this week’s slate of NFL games.

NFL Week 6 is the first where teams have their byes. The Lions, Titans, Raiders, and Texans get the week off, which means fewer pro football options will provide action to pay per head agents.

But because there are fewer games, it doesn’t mean pay per head sportsbook agents should see much of a drop-off. Most players should lay down more dollars to make up for fewer games. Check out this week’s preview after checking out what happened in week 5.

2022 NFL Week 5 Bookie Betting Recap

The Giants upset the Green Bay Packers in the week’s London game. NYG beat Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay 27-22. The win was huge because the Giants were +8.5 underdogs.

On Sunday, the Cowboys marched into SoFi stadium and dusted the Rams 22-10 as a +4.5 dog. Houston upset the Jaguars 13-6 as a +7 underdog. Those three games remind bookie website owners to set max limits on all money lines.

Bookmaker Software Tips for NFL Week 6

** NFL Week 6 bye teams: Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders, Houston Texans

Thursday Night Football – October 13

Washington Commanders at Chicago Bears -1

D.C. versus the Windy City has to be one of the worst Thursday Night NFL matchups, well, maybe in years. Washington is a terrible football team.

The Bears are much better. At least Chicago plays competitive ball. Expect the line to move big time in this one.

Consider: As of the Wednesday before, 70% of players favor the Bears. Use your sportsbook software layoff account to manage action.

NFL Week 6 Sunday, October 17

Cincinnati Bengals -1.5 at New Orleans Saints

The Saints rallied to beat the Seattle Seahawks 39-32 in one of NFL Week 5’s most entertaining games. The Bengals blew a lead over the Ravens late.

Cincinnati versus New Orleans should be an excellent game. Both teams have good defenses and good offenses.

Early money landed on Cincinnati. Late money might go the Saints’ way.

Consider: Wait to see where the action lands. Betting dollars could end up evenly spread in this intriguing week 6 game.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts -2.5

Jacksonville looked terrible in the loss to the Texans. But the Colts struggled to move the football when beating the Broncos.

The Jags’ defense should have success against the Colts’ offense. This game can go either way.

Consider: Jacksonville is solid across the board. Knowing Jags’ coach Doug Pederson, a bounce-back performance could be in order. Set max limits on Jacksonville’s and, as always, use the layoff account.

Baltimore Ravens -5.5 at New York Giants

The Giants laid it all on the line in an incredible win against the Packers. The Ravens rallied to beat the Bengals.

Baltimore shows up as the favorite because NYG must travel from London back to New York and then prepare for one of the fastest teams in the league. Also, handicappers have begun to understand that the Packers aren’t nearly as good as so many believed they were.

Consider: This can go either way. You know the tools to use to manage the action on this game. Some players will try and take advantage of the Giants’ money line odds in your betting program. Set limits for sure.

San Francisco 49ers -5.5 at Atlanta Falcons

After an almost come from behind win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in week 5, the Falcons must host one of the hottest teams in the league in NFL Week 6.

The 49ers have shown they might be the NFC’s top squad. San Francisco dominated the Panthers. The emotional loss to Bracy and the Buccaneers won’t help the ATL’s cause.

Consider: Atlanta plays tough, but SF is on another level. San Francisco will be a hot commodity in your PPH sportsbook. Use tools to ensure you profit from this great matchup.

Image Suggestion:

New York Jets at Green Bay Packers -7

So far this season, the Jets have shown they can hang, no, they can beat teams like the Green Bay Packers.

NYJ has a stunning 3-2 record, the same record the Packers have. The J-E-T-S is a legit NFL squad.

Consider: Green Bay is 2-3 against the spread this season. The Jets are 3-1 in their last 4. Trend bettors will jump all over NYJ in this. So agents offering free bookie software had better use the layoff account if required.

New England Patriots at Cleveland Browns -3

Cleveland, who blew a home game against the Los Angeles Chargers in the fifth week, shouldn’t be a -3 favorite over any team until Deshaun Watson returns.

Okay, maybe the Browns should be a favorite over the Washington Commanders or Carolina Panthers. But they shouldn’t be the chalk against the New England Patriots, who dusted the Lions 29-0 in their last.

Consider: Billy Zappe, coach Bill Belichick, and the rest of the Pats have flipped the switch. From now until the end of the season, New England is a threat to win as a money line dog and to cover spreads every week. Set ML limits on the Pats in this game for sure.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers -8 at Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers couldn’t handle Buffalo’s offense. But Tampa’s offense is one-dimensional.

Pittsburgh’s D will have an easier time rushing Tom Brady, who still doesn’t move great out of the pocket, than they had rushing Josh Allen.

Consider: Some pros will take the points on the Steelers. The Buccaneers have gone 2-0 against the spread in their road games, though. So wait to see where the action lands before siding with either squad.

Minnesota Vikings -3 at Miami Dolphins

Teddy Bridgewater will probably start for the Dolphins under center. But quarterback isn’t the Fins’ issue in this matchup.

Miami faces one of the top offenses in the league. In their last, the Dolphins allowed over 40 points to the Jets, which explains why the Vikings are road favorites.

Consider: Minnesota has a fantastic 4-1 SU record but is 1-4 against the spread. Trend bettors might go with the home team in this. See where the action heads before using your layoff account or line mover.

Arizona Cardinals -3 at Seattle Seahawks

Arizona has played competitive ball. Seattle’s offense, though, has become one of the top units in the NFL.

The Seahawks average over 25 and have scored 48 points and 32 in their last couple of games. The 32 versus the Saints’ D was legit. Seattle can win this straight up.

Consider: Set max limits on the home team to win this SU. Seattle’s offense will keep them in games versus almost any team in the league.

Carolina Panthers at Los Angeles Rams -10.5

After another embarrassing loss, the Panthers fired head coach Matt Rhule and Rhule’s defensive coordinator.

Carolina must also play this game with Sam Darnold under center. The Rams had no answer for Dallas’ defense. The Cowboys have one of the top defenses in the NFL.

The Panthers don’t. So online bookie software agents shouldn’t expect the Rams’ offense to underperform in this game.

Consider: Casual players will dump on the Panthers. Pro players might take the points because Matthew Stafford and LAR’s offense is a turnover machine. The Rams have a ridiculous 12 turnovers in 5 games this season.

Buffalo Bills -2.5 at Kansas City Chiefs

The top Sunday afternoon game of the week pits the Chiefs against the Bills. Kansas City hosts Buffalo six days after stumbling their way to a 30-29 win against the rival Raiders.

KC may have been looking ahead to this game, which explains why they had to rally for the win. The Bills tuned up for this by dominating the Steelers 38-3.

Consider: As of the Wednesday prior, 63% of handicappers are all over the Bills. But trends paint a different story. Buffalo is 2-6 against the spread in the last eight meetings. Wait to see who your players like, and then use your pay per head sportsbook tools accordingly.

NFL Week 6 Sunday Night Football: Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles -5.5

The Eagles were all out to beat the Arizona Cardinals and keep their perfect 5-0 record intact. On Sunday night, the Philly Birds face their most formidable rivals in what should be an excellent game.

Dallas is 4-0 in their last 4 matchups. Dallas QB Dak Prescott might play on Sunday. If he doesn’t, no problem because Cooper Rush is undefeated as a starter.

No matter who the Boys start under center, the Dallas D will seriously threaten the Eagles’ chances of going 6-0.

Consider: Set max limits on the Cowboys’ money line. Dallas’ defense is a lock down unit.

NFL Week 6 Monday Night Football – October 17

Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers -5.5

The Bolts have successfully moved past losing offensive tackle Rashawn Slater for the season. The Chargers beat the Cleveland Browns on the road in their last game.

The Broncos are a disaster. Nathaniel Hackett isn’t calling the right plays. The defense is playing okay but not great, Russell Wilson is hurt, and like the Bolts, Denver lost their left tackle for the season.

Consider: 72% of players are laying the -5.5. By kickoff, the line should rise to Bolts -6 or even -7. Use the layoff account.
