2022 NBA All Star Betting: How Much Action Should Bookies Expect

The NBA All-Star Game on February 20 is a massive celebration of everything the Association offers. But although there are plenty of options for players, how much action should the average PPH bookie expect? Check out info on the 2022 NBA All Star Game and pay per head betting information you can use to boost action.

Nothing gets better than the NBA All Star Game for National Basketball Association betting fans. The yearly event brings together the very best players in the top basketball league in the world.

Those players throw down in what’s often an exciting,  high-scoring, and high-flying night of hoops. But although fans love to see Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James, Chris Paul, and Kevin Durant on the court simultaneously, the action on the all-star game pales in comparison to what bookie agents see on the Super Bowl and on the March Madness Tournament.

But just because a sports event doesn’t attract as much action as the two most wagered-upon events of the year, it doesn’t mean price per head agents shouldn’t pay attention. This year’s all-star game has the makings of a classic.

Check out more information on the 2022 NBA All Star event as well as the sports betting agent tools you can use to generate action.

NBA All Star Game Information

NBA All Star Draft Betting

2022 NBA All-Star BettingAll Star Captains – LeBron James and Kevin Durant

LeBron James and Kevin Durant will head to the All-Star Draft looking to secure the best chances for their team to win. Since 2018, Commissioner Adam Silver has insisted on the draft format.

No doubt the top pick in the 2022 all-star draft will be Giannis Antetokounmpo from the reigning NBA Championship Milwaukee Bucks. The second pick is likely to be Steph Curry from the Golden State Warriors.

Western Conference All Star Game Participants

Western Conference NBA All-Star Starters Betting

Los Angeles Lakers player LeBron James, Ja Morant with the Memphis Grizzlies, and reigning NBA Regular Season MVP Nikola Jokic with the Denver Nuggets are three of the all-star game starters.

In addition to Curry, the Golden State Warriors have a second starter in Andrew Wiggins. The 2022 star game is Wiggins’ first all-star appearance.

The other starter is from the Dallas Mavericks, Luka Doncic. Doncic is one of the chalks to win the league MVP this season.

Western Conference All-Star Reserves

Reserves include Phoenix Suns Devin Booker and Chris Paul, another Suns player, Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl Anthony-Towns, and San Antonio player Dejounte Murray. Dejounte is the only player from San Antonio.

Draymond Green will appear for the Warriors, giving GS three all-stars. Multiple all-stars play for the Utah Jazz, Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert.

Eastern Conference All-Star Game Participants

Eastern Conference NBA All-Star Starters Betting

East Captain Kevin Durant won’t play due to an injury. Because KD won’t play, he’s not listed as a starter.

Giannis is. So is DeMar DeRozan, who plays for the Chicago Bulls, Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid, the favorite to win the NBA MVP this season, Jayson Tatum with the Boston Celtics, and Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young.

Eastern Conference All-Star Reserves

Miami Heat Jimmy Butler leads the bench. Butler should be a starter and would be if players had more of a say.

Zach LaVine with the Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets star James Harden will also play from the bench. So will Darius Garland with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball, small forward Khris Middleton with the NBA Finals winner Milwaukee Bucks, and Fred VanVleet with the Toronto Raptors.

NBA All Star Prop Betting Events

Slam Dunk Competition2022 NBA All-Star Betting

Agents that offer PPH services shouldn’t expect too much action on the NBA Slam Dunk event. If Zach LaVine participates, he will be one of the favorites.

Slam dunk creativity has lacked for a while, though. So don’t expect a considerable amount of betting dollars from this competition.

Three-Point Competition

No doubt, oddsmaking experts will make Stephen Curry the favorite to win the Three-Point Competition. More than one hoops historian believes Curry is the greatest three-point shooter in history.

In addition to Steph, backcourt teammate Kyle Thompson and Luka Doncic are also possible for this event. Another participant could be the Suns’ Devin Booker.

Skills Challenge

Domantas Sabonis, now a Sacramento King, won the 2021 Skills Challenge. Sabonis is a big man, which makes his victory surprising.

It also tells pay per head sportsbook agents something they already know. It’s essential to set max betting limits on all participants in all prop events.

Understated stars like Donovan Mitchell, LaMelo Ball, Anthony Davis, and every injury replacement player can win any event. Sabonis proves it.

Commissioner Adam Silver has set up the all-star competitions so that players other than guard stars like Devin Booker and Stephen Curry can find success. Underdogs can win the skills, three-point, and slam dunk events.

All-Star MVP

Unlike the trophy for the NBA season, which occurs throughout 82 games, the all-star MVP is for a single game.

The most famous all-star MVP performance, no doubt, happened when Magic Johnson, who had sat out most of the season due to testing positive for HIV, won the game.

Magic’s performance helped to destigmatize HIV-positive persons. Don’t expect a similar performance from one of this year’s all-star participants. But we should expect the MVP to have a monster game, which says a lot considering how many great players will be on the court.
